My favorite place is to go is New York. New York is enormous. I've been to Times Square, Manhattan and I'm going to the capitol of New York, Albany, to see my sister's graduation from law school. It's going to be awesome. I wish I could go everyday. Are there main attractions in your country?

One thing about school that is great is there are special ones for smarter kids. It can help since nobody needs to catch up. i am in one and like it. What is your school like?

There are a lot of places in the world that play an important role in my life. My two favorite places in the world are my homes. The main place I live is in Lincoln Massachusetts. It is right by a farm called Drumlin Farm and my friend Ruby lives right nextdoor. My second home is shared with my cousins and aunt and uncle. It is right by the ocean and I bike everywhere, and go swimming all the time. Another place that is important to me is a village in Switzerland called Le Clee, where I stayed for two months. I have some family in Switzerland too. I also love some other places such as the Weston Ski-track because I spend a lot of time there in the winter.

Hi again, I go to Devotion School in Brookline, Massachusetts. In school right now in social studies we are learning about the middle ages. It is very interesting to learn about because I get to know about how hard life can be. In science I am learning about wetlands. This is my favorite subject because I think it’s interesting how wetlands are made and what animals and plants live there. In math I am learning about quadrants, which is fun because you get to plot points on a grid. In language arts I am learning about writing responses because on Wednesday and Friday the big test is coming up! The test consists of multiple choice and open response questions and every kid hates them. This dreaded test is called the MCAS. There are MCAS tests in science and math also. Lucky you don’t have to take them!

Every summer my family and I go camping. We sleep in a tent. My parents get to use an air mattress but my brother and I have to sleep on the ground in a sleeping bag. At night we make s’mores, which are sandwiches with gram crackers on the outside and chocolate and roasted marshmallows on the inside. We roast the marshmallows over a campfire. During the day we go hiking or to the beach.

I’m back! It’s Evelyn and I was wondering if you have any huge tests or exams at school. We have a yearly test called MCAS. MCAS stands for Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System, except all of the kids who take it call it Massachusetts Children’s Abuse System, or something like that. There’s a MCAS that we must take in English language arts and math. In eighth grade we must take a science MCAS as well!

I was also wondering if you could go anywhere in the whole wide world, where would it be? I think that I would like to go to Cape Cod. This is because it’s so peaceful out there and a way to get away from the city.

I go to the Rafael Hernández School in Boston, Massachusetts.
I really love that school, but sadly I am leaving this year. I don’t have
to leave but I am going to an exam school this year that runs ‘till 12th
grade. The school that I am going to next year is called Boston Latin
School. You learn the language “latin” there. The school that I am in
now is 6 hours long. At this point, my favorite subjects are reading
and writing. I am a great writer and people really enjoy my work a
lot, and I enjoy writing, too. Also, when I start reading a book, I read
it a lot. What are your favorite subjects in school?
